GIZ Reduction of Plastic Litter

GIZ Reduction of Plastic Litter 2018-2022, Environment360, with funding from the GIZ, the German Technical Development Agency, through funding from North Rhine-Westphalia, ran three pilot programs to test incentives for the informal sector.  More than 200 waste pickers were trained during the projects using a training of the trainer format.  In addition to training, two collection points were established, as well as more than 86 tons of plastic collected.  To read about lessons learned from the project please click here
