Pilot Training 1: In the frames of cooperation between PRAAG and RETech

The German RETech partnership is delighted to hold a training in partnership with PRAAG. The training which is themed ‘Sustainable waste management and recycling in Ghana’ is with objective of equipping members of PRAAG with the technical knowledge of sustainably creating and managing a business in the waste sector and the technologies needed.

The training is a four-day training which involves a virtual learning from subject matter experts in Germany whereas members of PRAAG meets at The Innovate Workspace to learn from them.

During the four days training, 7 PRAAG members take home Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA), identification of plastics, as well as potential financing models for local recycling businesses that support sustainable growth of local recycling businesses as a core component tool to apply in their professional activities.

It will be remembered that The German RETech Partnership held a training for the trainer training in April this year to equip trainers with requisite knowledge to empower people in the waste management sector.

The training is funded by Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development through Sequa and supported locally by Environment360, a Ghana based NGO that seeks to create inclusive and circular economies that improve livelihoods.
